Senior Accountant

Commercial Tool Group (CTG), which consists of Commercial Tool & Die, CG Automation & Fixture, CG Plastics, and Marnie's Transportation is seeking to find the ideal candidate to fill our Senior Accountant position!

This position will assist the controller and CFO in preparing information for the financial activities of CTG in the accounting and finance areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare customer invoices with customer-specific documentation required for payment approval.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and enter bank adjustments.
• Complete several activities associated with the month end close process including prepare inventory calculations and SGM reports and prepare and enter journal entries.
• Calculate and track commission payments for sales engineers and outside salesmen.
• Update the DISC tax spreadsheet quarterly with new jobs and international shipment documentation.
• Assist CFO and Controller with preparation of annual audit schedules and completion of audit requests.
• Assist with preparation of detailed burden analyses.

Skills and Abilities:

• Able to achieve results through others through communication, motivating and mentoring.
• Personal Computer skills including the intermediate level of Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook, and Epicor Vantage "ERP" software.
• Able to communicate effectively with co-workers
• Proficient at problem solving, decision making and resource management.
• Ability to work independently.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Advanced certifications desirable, but not required.
• Minimum of five years experience in financial accounting.
• Experience in cost accounting in a job shop environment desirable.
• Experience in developing burden/machine rates desirable.
• Automotive supplier experience desirable.
