Commercial Tool & Die (CTD), is a family-owned and operated company located in Comstock Park, MI is looking for a Moldmaker Foreman to join our team!!

We are looking for a candidate capable of collaborating with our team and with the knowledge and experience to oversee all shop activities, personnel, and processes to ensure the completion of customer orders according to prescribed specifications with regards to quality, accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and company policy.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

• Supervise Lead Moldmakers and support personnel to assure efficiency in accordance with the Business Plan.
• Plan and schedule man-hours.
• Evaluate performance of all shop employees at designated times and drive employee engagement and satisfaction.
• View/Inspect designs using NX Design software.
• Attend design reviews to assure designs are correct and ready to build.
• Minimize rework through continuous improvement.
• Assure the highest standards of operation to control safety.
• Drive continuous improvement in all processes and procedures and create policies and procedures (as warranted) to increase efficiency and safety.
• Train personnel in safety procedures, workflow processes, and Epicor ERP use.
• Plan, schedule and direct maintenance requirements for company equipment.
• Assign tool using Epicor ERP system, schedule all machining for repair jobs.
• Perform other duties as assigned and authorized by Plant Manager.
• Follow procedures written in Quality Systems Manual.

Qualifications:

• 15-20 years relevant work experience in the industry, including time in management.
• High School diploma or GED
• NX 3D software experience, preferred
• Strong leadership qualities
• Able to work independently, have good attendance, and provide a clean work environment.
• Experienced and skilled at troubleshooting and decision-making.
• Possess strong communication skills
• Able to thrive in high-stress situations and in a quickly changing environment.
