Marketing Internship

Commercial Tool Group (CTG), located in Comstock Park, Michigan, has an opening for a full or part-time marketing internship. CTG is a family-owned and operated organization that consists of Commercial Tool & Die (CTD), CG Automation & Fixture (CGAF) and CG Plastics (CGP), located on the same campus. The opportunity awaits to support marketing needs both internally and externally. This position will support the Human Resources and Sales Departments and requires a motivated, self-starting individual.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under close supervision and following specific detailed instructions, the intern performs marketing assignments as directed by the Human Resources Director.
• Market the company mission, vision, and core values through electronic and print means.
• Build up the company's social media presence.
• Build upon and maintain our virtual communication slideshow and create a monthly company newsletter for employees.
• Assist with promotional items to be used at career fairs or sales trade shows.
• Support HR with any additional communication needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, as well as technical and analytical abilities required.
• Ability to interact effectively with various departments within the organization.
• Effective and positive interpersonal skills
• Personal computer skills including the use of MS Office.
• Ambitious, independent thinker who can take on tasks as assigned or show initiative for projects.
• Strong work ethic with a desire to be challenged.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Effective time management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program from an accredited college/university in a field related to Marketing, Communication, or Human Resources
• Junior or Senior level preferred.
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of a 4.0 or higher
