Manufacturing Shop Custodian

Commercial Tool & Die (CTD), located in Comstock Park, MI is looking for dedicated, hard-working shop custodian to join our team. We are in need of a reliable, experienced individual with a strong work history.

Primary Responsibilities:

• General maintenance and upkeep the appearance of our facility.
• Clean the shop floor, tools, and equipment throughout manufacturing areas using various tools, equipment and chemicals.
• Oil machines and clean coolant tanks
• Stand for extended periods of time to clean, wash, organize and assist where needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant or Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 18 years of age
• Punctual, reliable, and safety conscious
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Ability to operate a forklift and floor-cleaning machine
• Ability to serve, prioritize, and multi-task to support multiple areas.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and be physically capable to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
