EDM Operators -Day and Night Shift Needed

Commercial Tool & Die (CTD), located in Comstock Park, MI is looking for a couple EDM Operators to become assets to our team on both Day and Night Shifts!!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Operate EDM machines
• Handle and maneuver tools with a hoist and place them in the machines.
• Select, measure, assemble, and set machine tools, such as electrodes, using precision gauges and instruments
• Program machines
• Determine specifications or procedures for tooling set-up, machine operation, work piece dimensions, or numerical control sequences, using instructions, and machine knowledge
• Calculate and set machine controls
• Start automatic operation of numerical control machine to machine parts or test setup, work piece dimensions, or programming
• Confer with supervisors or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions and production errors

Essential Education & Abilities

• Ability to interact effectively with various departments in the organization.
• Prefer 2-3 years of experience in machine operation.
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong math /computer skills.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds regularly.
• High Schools degree/GED.
