What we're looking for in a Corporate Quality Engineer

To excel as a Corporate Quality Engineer at Commercial Tool Group, you must possess a unique blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in utilizing software and tools to connect, analyze, and interpret data is crucial for making informed decisions that drive quality improvements. Being adept in Microsoft Office 365 applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams will aid in effectively documenting and presenting quality metrics. Strong communication skills are essential for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and exceptional customer service.

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field, coupled with hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing environments, is highly preferred. Familiarity with TS/IATF 16949 standards, AIAG Automotive Core Tools, PPAP processes, and Product Warranty documentation will set you up for success in this dynamic role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the position are:

• Ability to connect, analyze, and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.
• Participate in planning of product realization through understanding customer product requirements and technical specifications, project planning requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Read and interpret blueprints and CAD renderings to determine product engineering and dimensional requirements.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of APQP methodology and be able to create and modify documents (PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow).
• Monitor the performance of the production process to demonstrate compliance with customers' requirements for product function, craftsmanship, product-safety, and process efficiency and that all potential nonconforming outputs are identified and contained.
• Have knowledge of quality management systems and quality auditing and regularly participate as a member of the corporate internal audit team.
