Automation Quote Specialist

CG Automation & Fixture (CGAF), located in Comstock Park, MI, is a leading Automation & Tooling supplier. We are looking to add an energetic, passionate Automation Quote Specialist!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Create detailed quotes for automation and tooling solutions.
• Thorough review and understanding of RFQ's and customer standards to prepare quotes.
• Accurate estimation of labor hours for key processes such as mechanical design, CNC machining, electrical wiring, controls programming, etc.
• Ability to conceptualize a project, accurately estimate cycle times and identify opportunities for improvement and points of risk.
• Work with customers to clearly understand RFQ and develop a quote to best suit the requirements.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain external quotes.
• Work with internal teams and project managers when launching landed projects.

Required Education & Experience:

• Preferred 3-5 years on the job experience directly related to building or sourcing of automated equipment and tooling.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering related field.
• Microsoft Word & Excel applications
• CAD software experience with ability to manipulate and view data. Modeling and designing are a plus.
• Knowledge of checking fixtures, stamping dies and injection molds is a plus.
